First, thanks in advance for your help. I was just completing a final check on a movie I'd been putting together over 15 hours or so, when, as it had done frequently during the making, Windows Movie Maker had to close. But this time - of all times!!! - when I reopened it, came the message "Sorry, Movie Maker can't open this file. The file might not be compatible with Windows Live MM or be corrupted. Please select a different project file." (And WHICH file would that be, stupid?) A click on 'Learn More' box took me to a "How do I fix a Movie Maker project file?" page online. It gave some hope in that I could put the (I assume) corrupted file on One Drive and the MS support team would fix it. Unfortunately, I am in China on a network and using Chrome, which may complicate matters, and I can't get it on One Drive.

Anyone have any other ideas what to do? If not, can you suggest a reliable program to use on Windows 7? I'm certainly not going to use this Window Movie Maker again to do it.

All advice appreciated.

Robert
