Hello. When I am using my Hotmail or Outlook email account, and I email someone, is there any possible way for them to get my IP address from this email? I have heard something about masking, but I'm a little confused. The reason that I am asking this, is because I have a penpal that I contact over email, and we have not shared any details about our location, and I would like to keep it that way. However, if they were to ever get a hold to my IP address, they could get my city and state. I am hoping that this "IP masking" thing is true, and that they cannot get my IP address from the emails that I have sent them.
