Original Title: Windows Live Mail.
I use Windows Live Mail on Windows 10, it was working perfectly until last evening when I had to change my Google Account Password. Even though I updated my other Microsoft email accounts with the new password ( they work fine) when entering the new Google Account Password using Live Mail the Google server will not accept it, and I cannot receive or send mail via my Google account. I get all types of messages telling me there is a problem. I contacted the Answer Desk and they could not determine where the problem was.
I did some experimenting on Google Accounts, and when I turned on security to "allow Less secure sites" don't you know Live Mail works fine, however, that's not a solution since I don't want outsiders having the ability to get into my Google accounts.
Can some one help me out here, there must be a simple answer out there to this problem.
Thanks,
Ken
received this Live Mail msg: error ID: 0x800CCC0F, protocol IMAP, Port 993, SSL
Also this msg: X0 AUTH: None of authentication supported by the IMAP server are supported on this computer
These messages may help, when I update my Microsoft Account with the new Google PSW, Live Mail does not show as one of the accounts using Gmail, which is strange.
