I know more or less how OL2011 stores its database in an identity. I need to tell my backup software NOT to backup the Outlook files on a Mac computer and the only way I can do that is by telling it which file EXTENSIONS not to backup.

I don't have an Apple machine to test with, but doesn't Outlook 2011 store the emails as individual messages in .olk files?

The only way my backup software will not backup emails is by exempting the email'sfile types. They'er all using Exchange so I don't care about backing up emails.
