A friend of mine is a senior citizen (even more senior than me) and has been using Windows Live Mail for a long time. She had to replace her computer recently and now runs Windows 10, but I still installed WLM for her because it has features that the built-in Mail app lacks – in addition to having a confusing UI. My personal opinion of Windows Mail cannot be published here for lack of polite synonyms…

Are there plans to replace WLM with a look-alike that has all the required features, or should I direct her to an alternative, 3rd-party solution after the Live Essentials end of support? She cannot afford Outlook, either as a standalone program or within Office 365.
