My current primary alias is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (a non-Outlook.com account). I would like to change my primary alias to another of my aliases, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

I have two questions:

1. This feature appears to be different from the 'renaming' feature that has been available up until now. Is that right? Does it mean that I may not have to hard reset my Windows Phone 8 anymore?
2. I cannot change the primary alias as described above, because I receive the error, 'We were unable to make *** Email address is removed for privacy *** your primary alias. Please try again later.'
