Hello,

I have lost access to my hotmail account which I have had for over 10 years.

I was logged out of my account about 2 weeks ago with a message saying "it looks like some else might be using you account'

Because the account is so old I do not have a secondary email or phone attached. I have followed to steps to retrieve the account however I am not supplying sufficient information.  For example, the questions ask me to provide skype contact details for people and my skype account name. I haven't used skype in about 5 years i think. I also need to provide credit card details, but I am sure that i have updated my credit card details since they have been attached to my hotmail.  Using an alternative email address, the accounts team have sent me an email saying "Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership" and recommend setting up a new one. I dont know how this will work as I have a number of subscriptions etc attached to that account.

Even my microsoft subscription is attached to it and i cant sign into my microsoft account to change anything! Catch 22 eh.

I am wondering is there any moderator or microsoft team member that can help! Happy to provide more information over private message.

Thank you,
Matthew
