My account seems to have been hacked around 18.06 this evening. Most infuriatingly, when I followed the instructions and attempted to reset my password it only gave me the option of sending a 'code' to an account that is not mine which was literally: "mi*****@hotmail.com" or forcing me to choose 'I cannot verify my account.'
When I've tried to fill out the form to verify my account it said I hadn't provided enough details, I've tried a few times as I have moved etc in recent years so I can't remember what address etc is set up on my account. Now I have a message saying "We've received too many requests to recover this account today. (We have a limit to help keep your account safe.) Please try again in 24 hours."
I am shocked to then find that there is no contact number. I am not pleased as I have many important and work related emails that I need to access and I can't understand what's happened, or why it's such an issue to try and resolve it. Please can you help me regain access to my account as soon as possible.
Please note I had to log in through another account in order to be able to post this msg, so the account I've written this from is not the account that I cannot (but urgently wish to) access.
