Hi guys,

This may have already been posted before, in fact I'm definite it has but as with any problem trying one that is exactly the same as the one I've got is proving difficult.

I have recently upgraded my PC (well my dads actually) from XP to Windows 7 as it was long overdue. To help make life easier I used Windows Easy Transfer tool to copy over my pictures, videos and EMAIL... amongst other things. I made sure that the outlook files where the actual email messages were stored was also selected (resulting in about an extra 13gb of data transferred.

I then installed Win7 which kept a lot of my old XP files in Windows.old on the C: drive, so instead of just deleting it I transferred it over to my other internal HDD, the same drive I have the WET file currently stored.

Now I downloaded Windows Live Mail, imported the emails and file folders, although it doesn't appear to have imported the folders at all and has just lumped them together in the inbox, but more concerning is I can't figure out how to import my email accounts, domains, settings etc, which is slightly worrying as I had a lot of email accounts in outlook, probably nearing 10, that I can't just start from scratch as I haven't a clue what they are, I suppose I have wrongly assumed that being a dedicated program that said it would make it easy and do it for me, that it actually would.

I've spent the morning looking, it would appear that the best way to do it is install Windows Live on my existing machine along with Outlook Express, and then Export from one and convert it using the other, that's all well and good but it doesn't help me now.

I have various .nk2 .srs .fav files in the Outlook folder that is in Windows.old, can I somehow convert or use these?

What I'd ideally want though is everything exactly the way it was in outlook, but in windows live, but I expect this won't be the case.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Smartie Fan
