Background:
I had 2 Microsoft "Live" accounts, which were merged together. The Facebook birthday notifications originate from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and are sent to the e-mail address associated with my old account (originally a Microsoft Passport account) that was later merged
with the newer account from which I am writing. Having aliased them together, I no longer have access to log in to the old Passport account separately.
Despite:
- Unchecking "Get notifications (reminders, changes to calendars, and daily summaries)" in my calendar.live.com Options,
- Deleting my Birthday calendar,
- Removing the e-mail address associated with the Passport account as an alias from my current Live account,
- Verifying that my current Live account does not have a connection to my Facebook account,
I still get these unwanted birthday notification e-mail messages for Facebook friends.
I can only surmise that my original Passport account still exists and is linked to my Facebook account and has notifications enabled even though I can no longer access it.
Hopeful for help!
