Verizon Email on Windows Live stopped working on 7/20/2018. I have checked all the settings and they are correct ...

I had this exact same issue last month. I've had random occurrences in the past where this would happen, but it would rectify itself within a few minutes, or hours, at the most.

I finally gave up on WLM after several days, and tried working from AOL mail, which is where my Verizon email migrated to. (I still have a Verizon email address and don't want to give that up.) It's just not a great program for business, so I tried using Windows Mail (the program that comes with Windows 10), and discovered it would download my mail, but it is also not great for business.

So I decided to try Outlook (2010) and low and behold my mail loaded in BOTH programs, so I have both running now. HOWEVER, now I have intermittent issues - sometimes Mail works, sometimes Outlooks works, sometimes they work together, sometimes they don't. It's all so RANDOM and FRUSTRATING!

Right now I can use Mail but not Outlook. The symptom is always the same, I either get a pop up  message from Microsoft (for Mail) saying my AOL settings are out of date or I get the pop-up box saying to enter my name and password (which are already set when the box pops open). The "save password" box is always unchecked, but even if I check it off, it fails, and pops open again unchecked.

The error message I get is usually 0x800CCC92 - rejected logon, try back again later, yadda yadda yadda.

WHAT IS GOING ON???

I refuse to pay AOL for support since I already pay Verizon a GD fortune, and since I receive my AOL mail with no issues, the problem seems to be Microsoft related. Is it because I still use a POP account and not IMAP? I'd never been instructed by Verizon to change the settings, but I know POP has been outdated for years.

I'm afraid to change anything else because I don't want to heap problems on top of problems.
