Hi, after downloading Windows Live Mail on my new laptop (windows 8.1), my old laptop (windows 7) now has difficulties syncing with Windows Live Mail.

To try and fix the problem, I deleted my hotmail account from Windows Life Mail, restarted my computer, then added the account again. This didn't work. Still getting Serve Error: 0x800488EB.

I then uninstalled Windows Live Mail from my computer, restarted my computer, then reinstalled Windows Live Mail. This didn't work either. Still getting the same Server Error.

Though I'm able to access the web with the same laptop, so internet connection isn't the issue.  And I'm able to access hotmail via Windows Live Mail on my new laptop, and can access my hotmail account online and through my mail software on my smartphone

Pls advise.
