This afternoon I experienced the same problem on my iPhone 4S and iPad 2. I tried deleting my hotmail accounts from both devices and reinstalled them, but still have the same problem.  I can receive emails but can't sent them.  I went to the Apple store and they say it's a hotmail/outlook issue.  How do I fix this'?
