Hoping someone can help me with a problem with my Microsoft Hotmail account.

I cannot reply or forward any emails and I cannot create a new email. When I click on the relevant button usually nothing happens. Sometimes I get those rolling white dots at the top when I try to create a new email.

I can receive email, read it, move it, delete it, mark it unread.

I am using a laptop with Windows 7. When a friend logs into his Microsoft Hotmail account from the same laptop, there are no problems with sending emails.

Is there a limit on the number of emails or size of an email account? I have deleted emails, particularly some with large attachments, since this problem has occurred but it hasn't made a difference.

I have also had a lot of phishing emails recently (I mark them as such), could this have caused a problem?
