I have been using my Windows Live Mail 11 account set up for IMAP to access my Gmail account for at least 6 months with no problems.

However, this morning WLM won give me access, repeatedly requesting that I enter my username and password.  When I do this it just repeats the request and then reports that 'The server has rejected your logon. Please verify that your username and password are correct'.  since I believe Everything was correct

  • I have changed my Google password twice, but theproblem persists
  • I've checked all my WLM IMAP account settings, and they seem correct.
  • I have gone to my Gmail account and verified that 'allow less secure aps' is turned ON
  • I even tried to create a new WLM account but can not do that as it also asks for me to login.

During all these steps I even stop receiving emails - but then a few minutes ago a whole batch of new ones appeared in my WLM Inbox.  I managed to view two of these, but then the problem returned.

So now I can't read any new emails, nor can I send any so WLM is completely unusable!

Can someone please help!
