I have been trying for 3 weeks to get a password reset for my general Microsoft account. 

Have tried verification codes 9+ times but the system will not accept the code emailed to me by Microsoft. Tried filling out verification form at least 4 times; not enough data to match. 

I spent hours with phone and chat support. Each time they start again with the basics.  Has been escalated as a trouble ticket 4 times. Mostly they just send me back to trying the form. This last time suggested posting in the community forums.  Response is from an email address that doesn't accept replies and closes the ticket.

Account isn't really tied to a particular product although I know I did use Skydrive/One drive so I posted in that section. (Support help seems to always start by requiring a product be chosen.) They directed me to post HERE.

The account is tied to my primary email address (not a Microsoft address). 

What can I do?
