"There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative."
There are several reasons why you might be seeing this error. To nail it down, we need to know some details:
- Do you use the calendar?
- What is the build of your version of Windows Live Mail?
To see, when viewing your message list, press Alt-F B. - What version of Windows is installed?
To see, press Windows key+ R, type winver and press Enter.
- Has the Microsoft Account you sign in with been upgraded?
To see, visit calendar.live.com with the same account as you use to sign in in Windows Live Mail.
Which of these do you see in the top left-hand corner of the window?
(It's the wording, not the colours that count)
We can't really say what's wrong or how to deal with it until we have the answers to these four questions.
Hello Noel Burgess,
I have spent HOURS trying to get my calendar to sync across my two laptops and android. I have a Microsoft account. I am using Windows Live Mail 2011, Version 2011, (Build 15.4.3538.0513) and I have Windows 10 Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.420). When I open my Windows Live I do not have either of the boxes you have noted above. I use my calendar. With these answers to the four questions you have set out, can you please help me?
