Old mail from Microsoft regarding Windows 8 is stuck in my inbox.  Windows Live Essentials.  I have been unable to delete that mail, and a few others since then. It clutters

my in box, is not relevant for me now, I would like to delete that mail . Is there a way to clean up my inbox without having to delete the account and close it down?

I have some mail files and do not want to delete those.
