After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I am no longer able to successfully add MOV files from my digital camera or add WMV file clips to a project. I can add a MOV file to the project, the programs goes through the preparing video step, and the clip shows up as an image in the workspace. However, the play back screen is black when the video plays. If I try to save the movie as an WMV output file, the Movie Maker program hangs (Not responding) until I close the window.

Whenever I try to add a WMV file I get an error message window with a Yellow Triangle and an ! mark. Looking at error detail gives a value of Err 0x87260103.  I have checked the status of the video driver for my AMD Radeon HD6770 video card and Win 10 indicates I have the latest version of the proper driver support.

It is frustrating to take a step back when Win 10 breaks something that worked properly with Win 7. I would appreciate any suggestions to help correct this problem.
