I am trying to find a video editor for my kid to use, but I really don't want social/share options to be available. That, apparently, is next to impossible as every editor app appears to include features such as uploading videos to Facebook, Youtube, etc. in order to remain relevant/competitive. This is the case with WMM 2012 as well. It seems if you click on any of the share options, you have to sign into your MS account. If my kid doesn't know their MS account, then I'm assuming they couldn't use WMM 2012 to directly upload to the social sites?
I'm also using Microsoft Family Safety and most social sites should be blocked, but I was amazed that tumbler could be accessed via the General Interest web restriction level. It's also not completely clear to me if the Family Safety blocks url access via applications (i.e. WMM) or only through IE and other browsers. So I can't really trust that product 100% to help me out.
If it is possible to access the social sites via WMM, despite my use of Family Safety, is there a way to disable the share options in WMM? If not, are there any suggestions for video editors that don't include any, or have the ability to disable, social/share options?
