Hi,

I have a brand spanking new Acer computer. Windows 8 64 bit. 8 gigs of ram, 2.00 GHz processor, 1 terabyte of HDD. Should be plenty of everything for installing Windows Essentials.

Here is the problem: I run the installer, and it says that Windows Essentials is successfully installed. However, the ONLY thing that appears to be installed is Windows Live Messenger. I've looked for the other programs such as Windows live Photo Gallery in "search" and nothing comes up. I search in "This PC" and nothing shows up. No other Windows essentials program except Messenger is anywhere to be found.

I tried the suggested "clean uninstall" by opening up "command prompt" and adding the suggested command. It said "pathway not found." I then downloaded the Uninstaller, and that worked for uninstalling. I then reinstalled, but the same thing happened again! I also went in to "Settings" on my Norton Anti-virus, and made sure that Windows Essentials was listed and checked so as not to be blocked by the Norton firewall.

I'm quite stumped.

Help please!

Cheers.
