Kinda new to this game but need some info.  I record freeview programmes on a Samsung hard drive/dvd recorder. I use third party freeware to transfer dvd recordings to my laptop. Can anyone advise me on 1) transcoding dvds to mp4 then editing the results on windows movie maker, hopefully using freeware as I am on an unforgiving budget. I should mention that I am running windows 10 on my laptop. Many thanks in advance.
