Thumbnails do not show for some, but not all photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery in Windows 8. The thumbnails do appear in Windows Explorer – just not in WLPG.

I've renamed and deleted Pictures.pd6 several times. It helps for a short while then the problem returns. 

I tried the resetting Thumbnail Cache and that didn't help.
