In trying to set up a blog for the first time I found Windows Live Writer 2011 in my Windows Live file. I launched the wizard and it offered a link to Word Press but the link does not work.
An email I received in 2011 said that Windows Live Space was shutting down and that Windows Live was "partnering" with Word Press to assist in the migration to Word Press.
Does this partnership still exist? Is Word Press associated in any way with Windows Live or should I sign up for Word Press independently from Windows?
In reviewing my 2-year-old Hotmails I see that something called Window Live Spaces was converting to Word Press on March 16, 2011. As I understand it, this was exchanging 1 blog service for another. I've never used either but now I may be interested
in blogging (I have experimented with Google blogging). Is Word Press still connected with Windows Live, does my Windows Live ID work with this, and do I find it on Outlook, etc.?
And is Word Press superior to Google's blogging?
