I am having problems receiving mail on WLM There is no problem receiving mail by webmail or Windows Mail on another computer. The last mails received on WLM were just over a month ago but now just keep getting error messages such as " server error 0x800CCC90
and also WLM error ID 0x800420CD
Hope someone can help please - have been in touch with ISP and my settings are correct

I have 2x 3rd party email accounts mapped to Windows Live Mail:
1) NWlink.com (thru Infinity Internet), POP3 setup
2) Gmail.com, IMAP Setup
I can receive messages fine.
Earlier this year WLM's ability to send just stopped. I didn't change any settings prior to this happening.
I did some trouble shooting some months ago with no success.
Ideas anyone?
I have Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows 7. The WLM is not an upgrade--it's what came with Windows 7. I previously had Outlook Express and XP and could send to groups. Now I create a "category," for instance, of 14 members, and when I enter the group
name into the "to" field, the program will send to only one member of the group. At first it sent to 3 members. I've tried everything I can think of and everything suggested online, including reparing Windows Essentials. Is this just a fatal flaw of WLM 2012,
or is there a fix or work-around? It's really annoying to not be able to use the group function. I have only two groups, but I send to both of them frequently, and it's a major pain to have to look at my list and enter each name individually each time. I
thought of using a different e-mail client, but I used to use Thunderbird and had problems with that, and getting Outlook would cost about $100. (I have Microsoft Office 2010, but it's a version that didn't include Outlook.) If anyone can help me, I will be

If I uninstall WLM from my laptop, would the actual emails being deleted as well? (the ones residing under Local Data)

Obviously NO ONE AT OUTLOCK IS LISTENING! I have had Hotmail for 14 years and it was incredibly efficient. Ever since the switch to "Outlook" e-mail and shortcuts have been major catastrophies. It wasn't broke so why did Outlook "fix" it.

I'm beginning to wonder if MS is trying to force us into buying something from them.
I too, have had Hotmail for years, since about '03, and about 4 yrs ago, I started using WLM (Windows Live Mail) because it allowed me to have access to both my accounts, it's HERE, on my computer along with all my folders and calendar, there are NO ADS, to soak up processor and memory.
The two previous posts on this forum have been about WLM being broken since this last update. It will hang up trying to upload my folders, and while it is doing THAT, everything else moves at GLACIAL speeds. :(
There have been no replies nor comments to any of my previous posts on here.

Just upgraded my PC from Vista to Windows 7. Browser is Firefox.
Configured WLM correctly and downloaded all my emails.
But all folders and my created folders are missing in the left pane. Perhaps they didn't get downloaded. How can I recover them?

I don't know why I keep asking questions here; I never get any response. But here I go again;
Ever since that last debacle of an update last week, my WLM at first wouldn't synch my inbox. I was told to uninstall that account and reinstall it.
I did this.
Now, it synchs the inbox, but the "error" box opens, saying it can't download certain folders, and takes FOREVER downloading the rest, all the while slowing down my system something awful.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what is up with this?
I have NOT changed any of my settings.
