Where do I find a proper instruction manual for Windows Live Mail?  I'm using version 2012, but I think it's pretty much the same as WLM 2011.  When I click the help button it takes me to here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-live/windows-essentials-help?t1=t6#v1h=tab4.  This is not a full help page, it just answers random questions.

In particular I want to know keyboard shortcuts for WLM.

Thanks.

I am having recurrent problems with Windows Live Mail. Sometimes I get the 3204 error message (Unable to send or receive messages: Server error 3204. Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0X8DE2003), and sometimes WLM will not open at all.  I employ a number of strategies to get it running: checking for mail stuck in the Outbox, deleting my two accounts then adding them back, running WNL diagnostic, repairing Essentials, uninstalling Essentials then reinstalling, running CCcleaner, running System Restore. Eventually something works, although I can never predict which. Frustratingly, the fix only lasts a few days...WLM has gone down five times since I started keeping a log on November 18. Where do I go from here?

To whom it may concern,

For a while, I've been using Outlook.com to manage my Hotmail and other ISP accounts. Yesterday I started configuring WLM 2011 and detected that every time e-mail/folders are being synchronized ("Checking for new email...") every folder is being downloaded from zero.

Should I remove the accounts from Outlook.com and instead add them directly as separate accounts in WLM? Thank you very much,

M.

Hello:

I tried to send an Email that failed with the following Error message:

"Server Error: 552

Server Response:  552 sorry, that message size exceeds my databytes limit (5.3.4)"

This Email is approx. 34 MB, and it requires several minutes to upload before I get the Error message.

The problem is that each time I open WLM or try to send other  Emails from inside WLM, the same file that failed will try to send again, taking the same amount of time, and blocking any other Email I/O tasks  while doing so.

How do I permanently remove the task of sending of this particular Email?

Using Windows 7 with Windows Live Mail, which receives mail from my ATT account.  Error message:  "Windows Live Mail could not be started.  Your calender contains corrupt data that is forcing WLM to close"....I checked the ATT email calender via its internet access.  I do not use the calender on the ATT email account, and it is blank.  Removed and reinstalled WLM.  Same error.  No problem accessing email via internet portal.  Thanks for help.

Whenever I save a draft message in Storage Folders/Drafts, WLM generates a new copy (a new instance) of the message. Thus, if you have 10 corrections/updates of that message, you end up with 10 new copies of that message in the Drafts folder. How can we get rid of this stupid annoyance? Why can't WLM just keep the latest version of the message?

Edited: Windows Live Mail version 2012 build 16.4.3508.0205. OS: Windows 8.1

i'm using Windows 7, wlm Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3508.1109) and gmail set up for POP 3 account. All of the email to my wlm account downloads but some of my wife's messages do not download. They are in the google cloud since she can view them on her phone but they are not downloading to my desktop. Some days it works well and others not. I have restarted the program and the computer but it's not helping. We've been using wlm for years with mostly no problems but she has had this happen several times. I don't want to use IMAP.
Any ideas??
