I am looking to add more animations to windows movie maker.  I would like more options (most importantly 'snapshots' which is on my apple tv and my wife's Mac.)  Is there a download somewhere i can add this stuff with (that's safe).  I see a few 3rd party software but they all want to downgrade movie maker to a vista version and i avoid anything that says vista...

I am using windows movie 2009 on windows7 Professional.

When I add a video (mpg) I get the following message:

Windows live movie maker has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Never received a solution can anyone help.

Hi there,

I don't know what is the problem with the transitions.

I used to work a lot on movie maker without any problems.

After formatting my pc and reinstalling WMM,

I've got this problem:

When i first add photos , i can add transitions, but if i try to add any other photo or edit any thing, i lose all the transitions.

here are two pictures to clarify.

Thanks in advance!!

I think this may have been missed by your QC Team.

In Windows Movie Maker 2012 [16.4.3522.0110], choose the menu and then choose Publish Movie, then the option to Manage Your Services— it takes you to a weird link for legal and copyright.

It has nothing to do with managing 'my' services and there's nothing there to sign up for, so this seems like an orphaned or error link in the Windows Movie Maker 2012 application.

You might want to look in to getting that fixed.

How can I save the slow motion effect that i added to the video? When I save it and open it in Windows LIVE Movie Maker, the slow motion does not appear.

Good Evening,

I've been online for hours and I must say i'm surprised I've not found a solution to a common reoccurring issue I was running a windows movie maker from 2010 and it was doing well until I wanted to remove the audio content. No problem I thought and I upgraded to 2012 Essential. Well I got the audio but not without a small price. All the videos containing Xbox one content I've edited and updated to my skydrive is not able to be transcoded. For a minute it shows up and tries to get itself together then the first message was a WLXTrancode.exe just-in-time error then I would debug and get the the final error containing the code 0x87160129.

Before we move on my video card drivers are up to date and I've repaired the widows movie maker from the control panel. My videos play fine on my media player (so no codec issue). Its not a chunking problem because in content where I've integrated video's a small section about 2 secs long of video gameplay is unable to be viewed. All I get is caution signs. Oh and I have the video saved both on my skydrive and on my desktop.

Please help.

Hey all...  I'm new to movie maker.  I have used iMovie before so I am somewhat familiar with the ins and outs of making a movie.  Although I am unsure why when I uploaded video from my iPhone into my photo gallery, then tried to create a movie with them...  They have video but no audio.  Any ideas on how to fix this (in lamen's terms please)?

Can anyone HELP pls. when I open a project on Windows Movie Maker (WMM)  it shows "missing files" when I browse for missing files find them, then open them, WMM  then inserts them into time line but then proceeds to close down. I have had this situation before with missing files but WMM never closing down !!!

When trying to edit movies in windows movie maker, i noticed that there does not appear to be any way to save the video file as the same file type, dimensions and bit rate.

I have to manually enter a new custom dimensions/bit rate for EVERY SINGLE VIDEO i edit. This gets extremely annoying.

Is there any way to just quickly save the video as the same settings as what the video currently has?

All i want to do is edit the volume...
