I'm running into several challenges with Windows Live Movie Maker.  My biggest problem is that I have scrolling credits at the end of my slid show.  In project display the credits scroll just fine.  When I go to full display the credits only scroll about 70% through before they stop.  They don't freeze they just end as if there is no more text.  The background slide remains the full amount of time it's just that the text was truncated.  If I quickly exit full screen I can still see the text scrolling on the slide in the project display.  I'm also having problems with keeping the music synchronized.  I'm trying to get slides to transition at certain points of the accompanying music.  If I adjust the slides in the vicinity of the note I want to hit I can sync things up nicely.  But when I play the whole video from the start, the music and the slide I had been working on no longer match.  This is a real problem when the slides and music you are trying to sync are 5 min into the video.

I need help fast,
Have been working for many days and nights on this project(that is worth a huge portion of my grade) for my civics class using moive maker, I saved it and shut down my computer last night - today I went to open the project and a message pops up saying "Sorry, movie maker can't open this file. The file might not be compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker or be corrupt. Please select a different project file."

VERY FRUSTRATED&DEPRESSED -
Please help ASAP
Thank you,
Amir Thomas.

When I try to insert a .wma file, it says that this is an unsupported format. I am trying to edit an audio file, WITHOUT any pictures or videos. The older version, (Windows Movie Maker) allowed this for years without any issues, but I'm not able to do the same with Windows Live Movie Maker. Am I supposed to do something differently or does this newer version not allow audio editing? If it doesn't, please suggest some other programs that do, so I can download and use one for the same purpose.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

The Movie maker keeps crashing continuously. While I play a slide show of my pictures, after a few minutes I receive an error which says

APPCRASH>Windows Live Movie Maker; Fault Module Name: igd10umd32.dll

Please help in this regard.

A few years ago I made some videos for fun with Windows Live Movie Maker on my old win7 computer. I've graduated and am currently going to college, so we bought another computer, also windows 7, and I found that this machine has regular Movie Maker installed. It looks just like Live movie maker to me, only the program won't accept the audio or video in my live movie maker files. It isn't because I don't have the clips that I'm using; I've made sure my files are connected, but it seems to still be incompatible. Please help me resolve this problem so I don't spend endless hours going back through old film.

After finishing up a project with Windows Live Movie Maker, I went to save my movie and it saved fine. I played the file from the folder in my computer, and the audio was repetitive and completely messed up. I tried re-saving the video, but I'm having the same problem. I went back and opened the project, and the audio was fine there. I just can't save it and really need help!!

Hello Microsoft,

I have an extremely important project on movie maker that is due in the upcoming day. Here is the public link to my file:  https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=91A2C7959AD3C246%21130

It is a wlmp file, and I cannot open it for some reason. Everytime I try, it says file may be corrupt or unsupported. I have tried it on another persons computer as well. If it is possible I would really really appreciate someone to help me with this file. If it is unable to be fixed please let me know so I can start redoing the project.

Thank you,

Keny.

Hi,

Whenever I try to use Windows Movie maker - even if I don't load any files - my computer immediately stops playing any sound at all and I have to reboot it to get it to work. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have Windows 8.1, latest graphics drivers and a P-87A motherboard.

Thankyou!
