I can get into my e-mail account at COMCAST.COM, and can read and send
e-mail from there, what is not happening is that I am unable to receive or send e-mail, through Windows Live Mail on my computer.
Comcast has already set all appropriate numbers, words and check boxes in Windows Live Mail Accounts Property section (according to their technician), and yet Windows Live Mail still does not connect to the ISP.
The error message is as follows:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Comcast (rjperry92) account. A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.
Server: 'mail.comcast.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure (SSL): Yes
Does Microsoft have a solution to this problem, or must I buy or download more software?
Please somebody reply… since Microsoft was not able to advise me on the telephone, and said that this forum was my only answer.

To any wise person:
My previous version of Windows Live Mail allowed me the option of automatically emptying deleted items folder on exit. With this version, I can only do it manually. Can you help?

Upon receipt of mail, my Windows Life Mail goes to an Update Program instead of
showing my mail. I am under a time schedule, and my work is important to me.
This is something bad. What can I do to resolve my problem?
How do I find out what the program functionality of live mail is, what it does and how I do it.
Or do Microsoft expect me to be a mind-reader, or spend months on forums asking questions about simple tasks and applications within the program?
As it is, I'm unable to work out how to do things unless I can work out all the hidden stuff - half of which I can't find.
So user help pages will be very helpful - I'm assuming they are hidden, since you don't buy an automobile without a handbook - and as WLM is a little more complex, it will have those pages I'm looking for. Seems kind of stupid if they don't exist :) Why wouldn't they include them in the program? Its such a simple answer to so many problems
Thanks
