When I right click on the name of a category in Contacts (Windows Live Mail) , the "send email" option is not bold.  So I cannot easily email to the addresses in the category.  So annoying as in the new year, I havve inspirational and funny stuff to share with friends and family.
I prefer to send the email to the title of the category  rather than displaying all of the email addresses.  Is there a fix?   Thanks.

Hi, I've been using my computer for two years but have recently got this error message with Live Windows.  Can you tell me what is going wrong?

Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo.co (travelgemma) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10060

Thank you

Gemma

Been running for several years (2011 version, came with computer). Doing end of year clean-up, deleting a bunch of no longer needed.

Unfortunately, did some manually from "Document and Settings"  & "User" Folder Drive C.  Tried to clean out inside WLMail folder inside program.  Some deleted, but many get "Error Occurred..." message.  For the life of me, cannot get rid of them within the program, even though I BELIEVE they no longer reside on the computer.

Being a neat freak, finally decided to uninstall and reinstall up to 2012 version - hoping this might clear out these "stray" entries.  Went through the whole rig-a-marol and it is up and running fine.  BUT the same old pesky messages linger.

Please help, advice me how I might rid myself of these.  As a side not, they all reside in the "Sent to" folder and involve some 200 of 600 messages I began with.

Hope my info is complete enough.  Thank you in advance.

I have recently had to restore my laptop and since then cannot send emails through WL Mail.  I am currently getting the following error message:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Live Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC79

I have tried changing the port to SSP but that doesn't work (it says account does not support it), I have read through a few others that seem to have had the same issue but have still not got it working.

Please help as it's urgent I can fully access this account.

Many thanks

Do I really need this (Windows Live Mail). If not, how safely can I delete this Program.

Sam Tong

I am running Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 11.  Up until a few weeks ago I was able to print email messages from Windows Live Mail and web pages from IE 11; now neither will print.  Print is displayed in the menu and the print icon is also shown on the menu bar.  When I click either, nothing happens.  There are no error messages but nothing happens.  I have tried re-installing both IE & Windows Essentials and resetting IE to the default settings but without any success.   Any suggestions?

and install another email program.   I have

windows 7 home premium 64 bit computer and would like to know what allright with this system ?

My live mail crashed, got it somewhat repaired via Microsoft but now I have excessive storage folders and recovered items...it's a terrible mess.

A lot of the messages recovered and in the storage folders  are not what they should be.  ( various problems with emails that cannot be  read, some messages from many different people contain  the SAME message from one individual and of course have NOTHING to do with the message I click on, etc.

I would prefer to get this Live mail fixed but not sure it can be done.

As of now after the Microsoft fix I'm still getting windows popping up saying that Live mail has stopped working,  recovering unused disk space, etc. etc.

Seems  problems still exist and am afraid  I may very well lose what little bit of reliable email messages I have left  in live mail 2011.

Have tried the fix under programs etc. also to no avail.  it seems, this is very frustrating and just as soon be rid of it  unless someone can guide me to a SURE fix once and for all.

Also, is there any sure way to recapture the emails that are not reading properly or are they gone forever ?

Thanks for any advice.
