Previously a size limit was put in place on all my incoming mail.   I now wish to remove this, permanently.   I do realize I will probably be flooded with large previously blocked emails, but still need to do this.    I have tried:

  • Folders
  • Message Rules

but nothing seems to fit my requirements.

Thanks

Hi, ever since i updated from windows 8 to windows 8.1 64-bit single language i'm unable to launch the windows live mail, calendar and people. if i try launching them from the charms it goes black and reappears to the start charms. I have updated all the drivers and also i recently noticed that app updates from windows store are always pending, can anyone suggest any ideas?

After losing a number of contacts on my phone recently, I was able to recover a backup of some vcf files to restore into Windows Live Mail to sync and merge the missing contact data. Unfortunately, I've run into problems with WLM not reading the address component of the vcf files correctly and as such I am unable to bulk recover missing address data.

An example of a vcf file and how WLM interprets it incorrectly is below:

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
FN;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
N;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:FakeSurname;RealFirstName;;;;
TITLE;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
BDAY:01/01/0001 00:00:00
ADR;CHARSET=utf-8;TYPE=WORK;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:250 Fowl Lane;Melbo=
urne;;3124
ADR;CHARSET=utf-8;TYPE=HOME;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:4/80 Marge Rd;Fawn=
egie;;3111
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
TEL;TYPE=HOME:123456789
TEL;TYPE=CELL:+8214558745
ORG;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
NOTE;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
END:VCARD

Everything appears to be importing ok except the address is being imported to the wrong containers. Using this vcf, the home "suburb/city" Fawnegie is read as the street address, and the "post code" 3111 is read as the city. No other information about the address is imported. As for the work address, only the postcode is read, and ends up displaying as the city as well. I'm sure you can copy the above and test it yourself to confirm.

Is there a batch fix I can apply to my vcf files to get them to import correctly? Otherwise I need to go through 600+ contacts manually to confirm the correct address.

Regards,

jt

Hi

I've just changed PC's and have downloaded my Windows Live Mail accounts onto my new PC (both old and new PC run on Windows 7). I have 3 work accounts synced, and all of the emails & folders from my old PC have downloaded, except I can't get the Sent Items for my default account to show up, so all the emails I sent from my default account using my old PC aren't there. When I try to create a new folder, it just keeps saying "Your folder could not be created: the IMAP server refused to create it"

I've checked all the properties/settings from Windows Live Mail on my old PC against the settings on my new PC and they are all showing exactly the same. I did export the sent items in my old PCs storage folder, saved it in Dropbox and then tried to import them onto Windows Live Mail on my new PC but it says the folder is empty (it isn't, I've checked).

Any ideas on how to get my sent emails from my old Windows Live Mail PC onto my new one?

Cheers

Leanne

I have been using my e-mail with no problem. Several hours ago, I realized that my e-mail were getting stuck in the Outbox.

I CAN receive e-mail... but can't send. I am talking about simple text messages. I also deleted them all and tried a test message.

I also restarted my computer with no results. I can send messages out of my gmail account fine.... but not through my

juno e-mail service.    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro.  Default Browser is Firefox.

A few weeks ago, my Windows Live Mail lost the ability to copy hyperlinks from the body of the email.  After reading this board, I decided to remove IE 11 and revert to IE 10.  This solved that problem.

Now I have two NEW problems:

I have six accounts all forwarding to my Live Mail account... some hotmail, some gmail, etc.  One of my hotmail accounts is no longer forwarding.  All others are working fine.

I cannot print the body of the emails.

I have completed the steps necessary to "repair" Windows Live Essentials.  The two problems above persist.

Please help as the loss of functionality is crucial to the operation of my business!

Thank you!
