I am new to windows 8 and have set up my windows live mail.  My email provider is godaddy and I set up my account according to their settings.  I can receive mail, but can't send.  Here is the error message I receive:

The connection to the server has failed.

Subject 'test'
Server: 'smtpout.secureserver.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060

I have tried port 25, 80, 3535 and 587.  None worked.

Please help!

Some addressees of e-mail via Windows Live Mail do not receive the e-mail. Re-checked and confirmed addresses. What causes this? No error messages. Addressees are not blocking. I am using Comcast.net "light" e-mail (using "light" since POP3 does not work on Surface tablet).

How do I get the Windows 8.1 operating system to change the DPI to increase the font for the entire Windows Live Mail?  Your answer was not directed to the Windows Live Mail issue.

How do I get to the Windows 8.1 operating system to change the DPI to increase the font for the entire Windows Live Mail?

Using Windows Live Mail. Currently set up to access two different email accounts. Have closed one account. Have moved all emails from the closed account to 'Storage Folders'. All the folders in the closed account are now empty. If I right click and Remove the closed account from WLM, does the closed account disappear from WLM and the moved emails stay in the Storage Folders? All ideas, suggestions, comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

Windows Live Mail was working fine and then all of a sudden it stopped syncing emails from Hotmail. It has continued to correctly sync (send and receive mail) for my other accounts. When I try to sync my hotmail account I get the following error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (alexsmookler) account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

I have tried deleting the account and re-adding it and then I get this message:

Windows Live Mail is synchronizing this account. Check back in a few minutes to read your messages.

I keep checking back but nothing changes. My emails do not come in and this message continues to be displayed.

I have also tried "repairing" Windows Live Mail via the control panel on my computer. This did not do anything to help the problem.

Please advise.

Thank you.

I have only one account also.  I am in Spain and my mail service is telefonica.net.  I receive at least 2 copies of each mail, sometimes 3 in a number of folders that I have.  It is very frustrating as this has happened to me at least 4 times in the past year!!!  Please tell me how to stop it!!!
