I'm using Windows 7. When this happens all the messages on the server get dumped and my other computers which are using the same e-mail accounts don't get their e-mail. Since only my wife and I have access to this computer I know this is not being done by a person. Is there a fix for this problem? To find this button in Windows Live Mail, go to Accounts, Properties, and click on the Advanced tab. The button is at the bottom of the page under Delivery. When I click the button it stays clicked for awhile but invariably after a day or a week or even longer, it shows up unchecked again. I can tell when it has happened because one of my other computers suddenly stops getting any e-mail.

Yesterday I upgraded to Windows Essentials 2012 (and Windows Live Mail 2012) and already this problem has happened again.

I am having this problem too  and I  tried to post my own question but this site won't let me, and I'm signed in, so I'm trying this on a thread.
Having same issue:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (myemailnamehere) account.

Server Error: 5102
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002

There are no messages in my outbox.  I have deleted my hotmail account from windows live mail 2011 and added it again 3 times.  It works for a day and then stops again.  Frustrated, need help!

Hi,

Hopefully, somebody here can help me, as I can't get my head around what's going on with my contacts.

I use Skype and log into Skype using my Microsoft login. I use Skype from my PC as my main telephone, calling telephone network numbers here and abroad.  Nearly all of my contact details are in my Windows Live Mail contacts and thus by synching in the "People" section of Outlook.com.

I would like to be able to see in Skype, all of the contact information that I have in the People section of my Outlook.com (or in the contacts of Windows Live Mail). That would enable me to, for example, call somebody on Skype using the telephone number that I have in my Outlook.com "People" section.

But when I log into Skype (even after unlinking and relinking it to my Microsoft account), all I see are a few contacts that I added by hand into Skype or that I used to have in (MS) Instant Messenger. The vast majority of my "People" contacts and, importantly for Skype, their telephone numbers are not available to me.

I cannot seem to import the contacts from Outlook.com or Windows Live Mail.

I did try exporting some contacts from WLM as *.vcf files, but when I used the "Restore contacts from file..." function in Skype, it accepted the file, but their contact did not appear in my Skype contact list. Outlook.com will only export to a CSV file, which Skype doesn't seem to want to accept.

I even installed the Skype Plugin for my browser, in the hopes that I could use the Outlook.com interface to make the calls through Skype... but it seems that I can only make such calls from within the Messaging section of Outlook.com - and for some reason most of my "People" don't appear in that section.

Those few contacts that did appear in the Messaging section, did not offer the Skype call option if they were off-line... but since I use my Skype calling as my telephone, I also need to be able to make Skype calls to people by calling their telephone number, even when they're offline.

It occurred to me, that Outlook.com must be holding a separate contact list for Messaging, so perhaps I should try to add all of the contacts in my "People" section of Outlook.com to the Messaging section... but I can't seem to see a way of doing this automatically. Apparently, I need to invite each email address individually, which would be a major bind.

So can somebody tell me, how I can easily get all of the Name and Telephone Number details from my "People" section in Outlook.com (or from my contacts in Windows Live Mail) into my Skype interface, so that I can call their numbers?

I use Windows Live for my e-mail and I have several e-mail accounts set up under it.  Most of the accounts I can send email from.  However I get this message when I try to send email from 1 account:

The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'mail.rwbms.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10061

Does anyone have suggestions on how i can fix this.

Version: Windows Live Mail 2011
OS: Windows 7 32-bit

Thank you for finding the time to read this inquiry.

I have been experiencing problems in Windows Live Mail 2011(WLM) after we shared the same email account in different Windows user account wherein it keeps asking the user for the email account password every time they open it for the first time after switching from another Windows user account.

To explain further, we setup the same email account in WLM to a different Windows user account (common user account) in the same PC so that the users won't have to use the Windows user account of the original owner of the email just so that they could read the email (since the original owner shares his email to other users within the group).

We made a common Windows account, setup Windows Live Mail with the same information as the original owner of the email, and then we changed the email storage folder of the common user account email  to the same location where the original email is located (it was redirected to the Profile of the original owner of the email).

With that setup, they are now sharing the same email within the same PC but with different Windows user account but the problem is every time they close WLM and switch to the other Windows user account, WLM seems to ask for the password of the email again. Clicking on remember password does not seem to work.

Also, before we could shared the same storage folder to the common user account, we had to share the whole account folder of the original owner under Users in Drive C: because of UAC.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Thank you very much!
