I have a roadrunner email, but route it through Windows Live Mail.  All of a sudden, no one is receiving my emails.  I can go to the Roadrunner (TimeWarner) web page and can send and receive mail, but not when I'm using Windows Live Mail.  Unfortunately, that's where all my contacts are.  I have noticed that when I troubeshoot the compatibily, it says File: wlmail is not compatible.  How can I fix and not lose all my contacts?

New computer with windows 8.  Downloaded Live Essentials and Windows Live mail working great.  Now it has just stopped working and won't load. Just the spinning disc.  If I right click on the task bar logo I can send out new emails and they arrive as I have tested this, but the live mail just won't load.  I have tried repairing and also uninstalling and reinstalling but it still does not work.  Can anyone please help as it is driving me mad as I really like the live mail system.
My laptop was hit with some viruses.( they have been removed and the pc is fine now).  in the middle of my virus problems my windows live mail would not recognize my password.  I can log on to windows live mail (outlook) via the web but I cannot log into windows live mail on the laptop.  We have uninstalled and reinstalled live mail numerous times.  The servers still block my passwords (which have also been changed).  Could microsoft be blocking the laptop from signing on and if so how do I get them to allow me through.  I have windows live mail 2012 on a different laptop and it works fin.

thanks

[Original title: windows live mail]

I have about 5 email addresses that I use this program for, all of them either hotmail or live addresses, and just one of them is having issues. Every time I open WLM, all of them download their new emails just fine except this one. It fails, every single time now for more than a week, with the following error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the (editedout) account.
Server Error: 0x80072EF3
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EF3

What gives? Why is it just this ONE email address that is giving WLM fits, and how in God's name do I fix it? I have searched everywhere I can think of on 3 different search engines and nothing - NOTHING - is giving me any help at all. This is my last hope. Please, help me fix this. This is my main email address we are talking about here, and if WLM can't retrieve messages for it then the program and is worse than useless to me. Thanks in advance.
When I go to windows live mail it keeps asking dfor my password and when I put it in it says it doesn't match. I checked it and it is right. I have removed the account and put it back in. I have checked that caps are off and the number lock is on. This is puzzling.

Keep getting this error message;

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (rtabor1) account.

I have tried the regedit fix.  Doesn't work.  The key I am supposed to delete isn't there.  Instead there is an empty string and pone that says something about messengerclear.  Aslo worth noting that it was working fine until Windows automatic update installed some updates today Oct. 10, 2013.

I am currently using Windows Live Essentials 2012 - Live Mail. and have been doing so for about a year. Now when ever I try to create a new calendar event it will not let me do so and reports that Live Mail is having a problem reading the message. I find this very strange as all message have been read, deleted or junked and I am trying to use the calendar not the mail section.

Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem.

Would also just like to state that Live Mail 2010 was the greatest mail program ever - it was stupid to have made any changes to it.

Regards

Michael

Original title: cannot create new calendar event
I just got a new hard drive and am reinstalling everything. I had Windows Live Mail 2011 but now have WLM 2012.

One of my e-mail addresses is a shared account with my husband. It is set up as a POP account. Before reinstalling it worked fine; we both had "Leave a copy of messages on server" checked in the Advanced tab, and it would download all the messages to each of our Windows Live Mail programs on two different computers, and to mail on an iPad as well.

Now that I have reinstalled, whenever a message downloads to my computer (running Windows Live Mail 2012), it does not download to my husband's computer, even though it is still on the server. The same is true if it downloads to his computer first (running Windows Mail). BOTH OF US HAVE "LEAVE A COPY OF MESSAGES ON SERVER" CHECKED. Since everything ran fine until I reinstalled WLM 2012, I have to assume the problem is with that.

The e-mail account is on GMail, and it is set up for POP (nothing has changed there since the reinstall).

Does anyone know how to fix things so that each of us can read all of the messages on the two different computers? Thanks.
