I have a Windows Live Mail hotmail account which I use on my pc, ipad and iphone.   I have been able to successfully send messages from my hotmail account on all three devices until today.  Now I get the following message every time I send an email to any account, including those that I have used frequently in the past.  I can send via another account from my pc but not my iphone when I'm on the move and need to resolve this issue as a matter or urgency.

Hi,

I have setup my Hotmail account in Windows live mail by using http. Then all messages have been downloaded. However, I am now having  a problem sending and  not receiving new messages as this screenshot. I am quite surpsied that the same ID of Hotmail account and password are used.

Sometimes this error shows me::

I have tried these two steps posted by stevewright25

Inside the "Home" tab, tick “Sign Out” and select "Sign out of Windows Live Mail"
Tick the "Send/Receive" button.

And second thing in this if you are using Norton Internet Security 2011 Beta so please disable it otherwise it will not allow you to complete this task.

However, regarding first step, I am not signed to my hotmail account yet in order to sign out of it. I am only asked to be signed in to my hotmail account whenever I open the Windows live mail as it is shown  below. Also, when logging in to it, I don't let windows live mail remember its password. Thus, I think I think I don't need to sign out of it at all.

About the other step made no difference.
Hello everyone,

I am really quite surprised when I see there are some feeds shown in my Windows live mail even before setup my Hotmail account in Windows live mail. Thu, I would kindly like anyone to  tell me where these feeds originated from. In other words, from where were these feeds downloaded  to Windows live mail?

If they are originated from the feeds in my MI internet explorer,

then I would be asking:
First: I didn't associate my Windows live mail with my Internet explorer.
Second: Why were only the feeds in internet explorer synchronised with my Windows live mail? What about the other browsers?

Also, I really even in the internet explore, I didn't remember that I have added any feeds such what you will see in the above screenshot?????

I have had desktop computers for over 30 years and the present model runs well on Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail is great.  On my laptop I recently upgraded the OS ( also to Windows 8 ) and after installing Windows Live Mail I can receive Emails on that machine but I cannot send them. Also I do not get the usual list of Contacts and the Calendar is empty.

I was getting some feedback which suggested that I might not have entered the information about my servers correctly, but I could not find any written record of that and I do not seem to have access to the information on my desktop. I would like to get the laptop to respond to my log-ins in the same way as my desktop does.  Before I install Windows Live Mail again could anyone please explain where, on the desktop, I can find the required information ?  The drop-down link to accounts only seems to be concerned with new accounts, and not with existing ones. Many thanks.

Original title: desktop and laptop synchronisation

I have Windows Live Mail on my Windows 7 operating system for my laptop.  Upon opening up Live Mail today I got flooded with duplicate emails in my inbox.  How do I get rid of them and preventing it from happening again?
I'm having issues with the Server error: 5102, Windows Live Mail Error ID: 08xDE00002. I've removed and reinstalled the account at least 6 times. I've also download all the mandatory Microsoft updates that were available; and have restarted the laptop and I still get the error message.  Quite frustrating!

There are no messages stuck in the Outbox.

And, after trying the fix to work offline that was suggested in the forum, I cannot seem to get back to working online and I'm getting an error message that there's an error in the Calendar.

I can't access my email via either Windows Live Mail OR Live.com on my computer. There isn't a problem with my firewall.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (temhota_demon) account. Windows Live Mail can't connect to the Hotmail server. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later.
