I can no longer send pictures with Windows live mail.  I have to use my gmail account to send pix.

I am using the export facility in WLM to export my contacts list to a CSV file.  When I get to the “select fields” stage there is only one (non-specific) e-mail field available to tick and yet my Contacts contains two specific addresses, namely home e-mail and business e-mail.  Does selecting this field mean that both e-mail addresses will be exported regardless?  Or is this an inconsistency between the Contacts and the associated export facility?

I am no longer able to receive emails in Windows Live Mail. The problem occurred suddenly. I have checked settings and they have remanded unchanged.

I have tried removing and downloading Live Mail again, and spoken with my internet supplier who could offer no help!

The report I receive when I open the program is as follows. Although it says unable to send, I can still send without problem.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Home account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3

I would appreciate advise

Original Title: No longer receiving emails in Windows Live Mail

Hello, suddenly when Windows Live opens, and checks for email it replies with an error message - saying:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account.
Server Error: 0x80048849
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048849

No settings have been changed (by me). Does anyone have any idea why this may be occurring? If I access hotmail through the internet mail.live.com it works fine?
I installed Windows Live Mail on my PC last weekend and have been successfully using it for the last week, having synched several email accounts.  I have tried to log on to the account from my laptop this morning but it just brings up a new, empty Outlook Mail account.  How can I access the accounts in my Live Mail account via the laptop?  Thanks

This issue has been a thorn in the side of Windows Live Mail users for nearly three years. Moderators, past and present, keep beating around the bush, trying to placate who raise the issue, but the Issue does not get resolved. Why? In my humble opinion, the Morerators cannot fix this, only Microsoft can. Why then are we not just told - Microsoft cannot or will not fix this issue, simple and to the point.

A brief history of this issue follows - - -

When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show.

I am sorry but this is still a known issue in Windows Live Mail.

Unfortunately, this is still a known issue with the client. The product team is still working on a fix, which should be included in the next release of the program. Please stand by for further updates about this issue.

As already confirmed on this thread, this is a known issue with Live Mail that should be fixed in the next release of the client. I'm afraid we still have no exact time to confirm when the next release will be. Updates should be posted in these forums.

Hello Everyone,
For us to further investigate the concern, please answer if are you experiencing the same error when trying to forward emails using a web browser?
Thanks!

Hi,
I have been using Windows Live Mail for around 2-3 months. I have it synced with my gmail account.
I have been noticing that some emails seem to disappear completely. For example I will send an email, then later (say an hour) go to locate the sent item, and it is not in the sent items folder, outbox, drafts, anywhere. I am absolutely 100% sure that I have sent the email, but there is no record of it, and the person I have sent it to does not receive it either.
It happens completely randomly.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Hello,

TLDR: Windows Live Mail does not fetch all mails from IMAP sent by IncrediMail.

Windows Live Mail (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912)) seems to be ignoring certain emails from my Imap-Servers. I own a small webspace with a domain where I've got some IMAP-Mail-Accounts.
However out of about 3000 mails, six emails are ignored. They are nowhere, they are completly ignored. I have checked every single folder, the spam folder, marked them, marked them as unread, moved them to a different folder, added the sender to every list I could find, but Windows Live Mail still ignores them. There isn't even an error message.

The emails are correctly fetched by Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, Mailbird, Inky, Thunderbird, the Webmail-Application and the Android MailApp. But no luck in Live...

As far as I know the mails were composed in "IncrediMail", if this helps. Since every other app displays them correctly, I would call this a bug in Windows Live Mail.

Is there any solution to this or a known bug with IncrediMail?

Thank You!

-Alex

If the Devs are interested I am willing to offer them the unfetched mails.

Have agreed new password with Microsoft for Windows Live Mail but when I go in to sign on, it will not recognise password.  Why not?
Recently been hacked so have reset password via Microsoft but the Windows Live Mail still won't let me in, even with new password
