Sky Drive and the UK Data protection Act

Hi,

I want to use sky-drive to share research data between members of a research team that's spread across three universities, none of which has secure arrangements to share data outside their respective networks. I need to be reasuured that this will meet the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act. Please could you advise whether this would be the case, particualrly in relation to where data is stored?
