After attempting to use the 'new' Microsoft Support Case system, I am returning to the Account Community in a desperate attempt to obtain some sort of advice and/or assistance.
My original hotmail.com email account is now blocked - someone HAS hacked it because some contacts have been receiving junkmail from it and when I try and supply answers to the security questions/form, to change the password, I am continually being rejected
(honest, I do know my maiden name).
A lot of past posts reporting the same/similar problem have instructions which are either obsolete or no longer relevant. The alternate e-mail associated with the original account can't be accessed either (okay, I only used that once in the past to recover
from a similar problem but the password used back then doesn't work anymore and I am suspicious that the hackers may have accessed that account too).
So, bottom line, I now have a THIRD hotmail account and am at a loss at how to recover (gain access) back to my original account - this has all of my contacts and is used for banking and shopping, so losing it will be a major problem for me.
Can anyone help?
