Importing a movie with subtitles on movie maker – Subtitles disappear

Hello,

I've been uploading a movie in MKV format with subtitles (I have downloaded the correct codec so MKV is read perfectly by movie maker) but when playing it the subtitles have disappeared.

When I edit the video (split sections to delete them) and save again then:

- The subtitles are still not here

- Using the same spec of the original video, the quality has drastically decreased (although same width, height, bit rate, frame rate, audio and same MB weight)

Could you please tell me how I can solve these problems?

I've upgraded to Windows 7 partly so I could do some editing on videos.

A bug with the fullscreen mode

When I add pictures and subtitles to the project and play the project in fullscreen mode (in the Windows Movie Maker preview), the quility of the pictures and subtitles is reduced significantly. The bug don't harm the final movie, but it's really annoying.

 

How can it be fixed?
