Does anyone have any idea as to how I get my inbox e-mails to display with the subject headings on the main list/main page? Suddenly this facility only shows for 2 seconds and then disappears!

Does anyone have any idea as to how I get my inbox e-mails to display with the subject headings on the main list/main page? Suddenly this facility only shows for 2 seconds and then disappears! Is this yet another case of Microsoft monkeying around with its customers or have I missed something? Thanks.
