Does MSN have messenger or not? Ihave red ink on icon

Some say messenger is gone, yet i see it still listed on MSN.  I'm blocked anyway.  The messenger icon has a red circle around and through it.  I tried Skype and a couple of other chats and didn't like them.  Prefer one like MSN Mess.
