Forgotten Family account info

My brother needs the family account password to be able to sign into his xbox gold account. Problem is, I think my dad had that information, and he's recently had a stroke and can't remember much of anything. I'm 22, and have the information for my other brother's login info, and he's not having any problems because I know all the information to help him with his, but for this brother, I have no idea how to help him. I'm not even certain it's my dad who put in the parent account, but it's the only thing that makes sense. I don't know what to do, my dad's stroke is keeping him from remembering and I have no idea how to fix it without him.

Parent Email address blocked

With the new terms of service xbox live dashed out I needed to get to the details of parent account which hasn't been used in years so in much the case I followed all the steps leading into recovering the account but none of the emails attached to it no longer active as well. So I've had to use my main email address and try from their but due to lack of details I was unable to reset the password and is now blocked.

Is there anyway to have it unblocked and password reset? So i can get back to just playing games on my xbox without the trouble of having the parent account ruining my experience?

Xbox 360 Terms of Use Loop

31. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: parent account
WARNING: I'm going to be very thorough with my problem as I was unable to find any solutions and I am determined to find a solution that does not involve deleting my account.

So I am logging on to my Xbox account (a Child's account) where I get a notice requiring me to sign the new Terms of Use. This would normally not be a problem except that the parent account that allows my to accept the Terms no longer exists. It may be worth mentioning also that I have no idea what the password is as I created an account just a few days before I turned 18 not knowing that parental consent was required so I pretty much just made up the details of the parent account.

In an attempt to resolve the problem, I tried to long on to my Xbox Live account on my computer so that I could promote the child account to an adult account. When I attempted to do this, I was again sent to the Terms of Use page where I push "I Accept." However, I was then returned to the sign in page. I have tried this multiple times but it appears that I am unable to accept the Terms of Use anywhere I go.

Through research I have noticed countless others who have a similar problem so I cannot imagine that there is not a sensible solution that does not require me to delete my account. My understanding was that this problem would not be resolved on the Xbox Live forums so I then turned to the Microsoft forums.

Any information would be helpful!

I cant remember the password for my parent account, i am now 18 years of age and i actually don't need the parent account however there are new terms of use and i cannot accept them as i do not know the password.
I made a phone call to xbox support who told me to use the login live web page and told me to click on cannot access account for the parent account.
Through here i filled out a form so that they could email me a new password for the parent account.
I was emailed back with an error saying that i hadn't filled in a sufficient amount of data, i tried to fill out the form again yet still no luck.

The parent account email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
It is an old account and hasn't been used in a while, until today.

I found the reset password link in my spam folder

live.com account (Parent) unable to be used in Family Safety Filter

10. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: Family Safety, Microsoft account, parent account

Hello,

I have two microsoft accounts that were linked before Microsoft unlinked the accounts.  I used one of them for Family Safety on several pc's with 3 child accounts and an additional parent account.

I purchased a Windows Phone but was unable to setup the Windows Phone with parental controls.  The MS support rep got it working but the child account is now linked to my second microsoft account.  My problem is that now I cannot use the second account to login to Family Safety filter on any pc.  I want to move all the child accounts and family safety to my second live account but it seems the account does not have that capability.

All of the pc's are Windows 7.

Thanks

Your account is not ready: Family Safety settings issue

Ok, well I guess I am next on the "The page you have requested does not exist, has moved, or is temporarily down." problem.  I have two of my three sons accounts sending me on this dead end chase.  I think I have a pretty good idea of what information you need, just send me the private message link and I will submit:

  • Child email address
  • Parent email address
  • Link or URL of the webpage showing the error (You can get this on the address bar of your browser.)
  • Unique ID of the parent account.

You would think that with all the problem reports that I have found regarding this exact issue, there should have been a resolution as to why the page is offline by now...?

    Thank you for your time,

    Richard

how to change related hotmail parental control account email

    16. August 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: hotmail parental control account email, parent account, parent/guardian
I set up a child's account for a colleagues kid and confirmed the child's account using my own hotmail acct thinking that was all I had to do.  Now it suggest that I'm the parent/guardian of that child and I'm not sure how to change that parent account to someone else (the real parent).  Is this necessary?  I'd rather kill the account and start over than be stuck with an association to the child's account forever.
