I get EFaxes from numerous clients.  Hotmail now Outlook is sending them to my Junk Mail.  I would like to change this so they go to my inbox where they belong.  I am not sure I have filtered them out, or if Outlook did it on it's own.  How can I fix this.  I have not found where outlook stores all of the addresses that I have requested Outlook to send to my Junk File.  How do I find these addresses?  Thanks

Hi,

Like others I have found that all my old emails and folders have gone since being forced on to Outlook from Hotmail.

I use Microsoft Outlook (see 3 below) as my main client and have recently set up in hotmail to forward messages.

My old emails and messages were always there even when I set up forwarding but since Hotmail changed to Outlook all messages and folders have gone.

3.You are using an e-mail client or a third party spam filtering software to access your account.
This often happens when using the Pop3 protocol to retrieve your mail and the option “Always leave a copy of the message on the server” is not selected.

Can I get them back?

Hi I am experiencing a similar problem (most recent Outlook with updates installed, and os is 10.8.5).

Every time I open Outlook I almost instantly have a pop up window that says:

"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."

I don't know the error code as one isn't displayed.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am in the process of migrating from Gmail to Outlook; however, I am having trouble with the messaging function from the inbox. When I come to work and connect to our network, the messaging application refuses to sign-in. I have attached an image to highlight the problem. When I am on my home network, the messaging application works fine, but I am beginning to wonder if there is a network setting at work, which is preventing me from connecting.

I am curious, though, because the messaging function in my Gmail inbox was always functional on my work network. Why would messaging in Gmail function at work and not Outlook. Any help would be appreciated! I really like using Outlook, but I am afraid if this issue is not resolved, I may have to go back to using Gmail.

For those wondering, I am using IE 10 on a Lenovo laptop with Windows 7 SP1 (network administrator controls Windows Update).

Thanks!

If I go to www.live.com and login with my Microsoft credentials, I am taken to Outlook where I can see email addressed to my Hotmail address. If I click on the arrow next to Outlook and select SkyDrive, I am taken to a page that tells me I haven't shared anything. If I then click on the down arrow next to SkyDrive and select SkyDrive again, it thinks a while and tells me "something went wrong", and I can't be signed in (but I actually am already signed in). I clearly have content in my SkyDrive account. And oh, by the way, it only happens when I use the IE browser. Chrome and Firefox works just fine, and when I select SkyDrive from my Outlook account screen, I'm taken right to the folders in my SkyDrive account.  Any help or ideas as to how to go about getting the problem fixed?

I have been using aliases with my Outlook.com account - ie using online Outlook.  I have just bought proper desktop Outlook, but can't find a way to use my aliases with it despite the Microsoft Support site saying this is possible.  Anyone now how it's done?

Thanks

I have worked with the Tech Support with MSN on the phone. I was having problems being able to read my E-mails after logging into my MSN account and they were able to fix this. I was still getting the error message and the only way I could get to my e-mail was to click on the "Try Outlook again" button, which would open my e-mail.

They suggested that I ask this question here. Again they checked and they told me there is no problem with Outlook that would generate this message.

Can you tell me how to disable this message?

I'm accessing mail over a read-only IMAP connection and Outlook keeps trying to create a Junk Email folder in the IMAP connection which is causing errors on both the workstation and the server. I've disabled Junk Mail filtering within Outlook but I'm still getting "cannot create folder" errors within Outlook. Is there another setting I'm missing?
