For the past week, the same message keeps popping out saying that I need to close my Office 365 account, because it's not compatible with my outlook account. I don't even know what this mean. I don't have an office 365 account. I even change my password
just to see if it will work. Nada. I really need to log into my outlook email account, because I receive a lot of important stuff. Please help, really upset.
New computer with Windows 8. Used primary email address, not Hotmail, as Microsoft account to access computer. Using IE browser, my Outlook account lost all prior email, (IN box, Sent, Contacts etc) and the ONLY mail I receive is messages from Microsoft. Using
Firefox browser, I get the old Hotmail format, not Outlook. I can receive and send email, but can not move emails to folders. I can view my mail on Outlook with no problems on old computer that has XP. How can I receive and send email from Outlook using
Windows 8?
I am having trouble getting my windows 8 phone calender to sync with my pc. My outlook email address is not working as the link. I am wondering if the mail server details are incorrect . What are the right incoming and outgoing mail server details for
an outlook .com account

Hi, At my work place we have several separate email addresses, a ######@hotmail.co.uk and a more recent #######@outlook.com (and a third non Microsoft). All accounts are active, and we need to send messages from All accounts.
There used to be a setting to "link" the accounts, which saved time moving from one to the next. This has since been removed for security reasons, or something. Now we have two accounts that are separate again.
So, I've tried to merge the accounts, using the "add a send-and-receive" option. I was successful with merging the non-microsoft to the Outlook. However, when linking outlook to hotmail i get the message:
"It looks like you're trying to add another Outlook account. Try linking your Outlook accounts together to make switching between them fast and easy."
This is of course unavailable... Is there any work around for this?
Thanks
Over the past couple of days this bizarre incident of me checking my e-mails only to be summarily redirected then locked out of my Outlook account due to trying to access some "sensitive info" - i/e my OWN e-mail account - is wearing me down. I have posted
this issue twice before on these forums to zero response.
This is the screen I get when I am thrown out of my e-mail inbox:

Note the "sensitive info" bit - which in reality is my own personal e-mails that I was already reading until being thrown out. Can anyone please confirm if this is a hack job trying to con me out my password or is it a genuine Outlook/Microsoft safety procedure?
When I do acquiesce and enter my password it starts asking me for an additional code to be entered to complete the verification process, and proffers a corrupted version of my e-mail address which I have never seen before. Thankfully I have an old AOL e-mail addy to use to which the code was sent and when entered I am then returned to the main screen to enter my password again. I just want to read my damn e-mails!!!
So, my questions are these:
Can someone from Microsoft/Outlook please confirm or deny that this is either a genuine but ridiculously elaborate safety procedure or a hacking hoax?
Has anyone else experienced this or am I alone?
Is there a fix for this?
Can some please respond to this query. It's been three days and it is driving me mad! I never had these problems with Hotmail...
Thanks in advance.

I keep getting this error messaging whenever I try to access my Outlook account. It says that I am "currently signed in with an Office 365 email account", and when I click on it, it takes me back to the log on page. My hotmail account is logged out, so
I don't know what the issue could be. It's been doing this for months. Can someone please help me? I have all of my school information on there.
Yesterday, my hotmail sign in prompted me for security updates. I added an alias to a new outlook account. Now my Hotmail account seems to have been inactivated, and is now inaccessable, and unusable!! All my old e-mail transfered to my Outlook account.
New Hotmail e-mails are not being delivered, just bouncing back. Help! I need to access my Hotmail account!!
