I have multiple Outlook and Hotmail accounts and all of them, except one Outlook account, have no problems setting up on the Mail app in Windows 8. I am unable to set up just this one very important Outlook account in my Mail app. It every single time says "We couldn't find settings for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Please provide us with more info and we'll try connecting again".
I am able to access this account perfectly well through the browser, but for some reason it simply will not set up through the Mail app. I couldn't detect any problem for it to do so. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the Mail app, but to no effect. The issue seems to be confirmedly on Microsoft's side.
I seek help on this issue. Thank you very much.

I have deselected the option to allow edit and require sign in. I tested this in a third party email and upon receipt, I am still able to view all of my private information in my outlook account. The only way this is not visible is if I completely close
out my outlook after sending it. This option requires one to sign in to the outlook to view anything beyond the skydrive folder.
When Microsoft revised its security protocols I was signed out of my Xbox live account and prompted for my password, I havnt had to use it since I first created the account (about 6 years ago, was young at the time) so naturally I had forgotten it, I tried

I have tried re-setting password, but it won't recognize the new one. Have deleted and added account and it never migrates my mail or syncs with the outlook account.It says it is doing that and then freezes. I have un-installed the latest Windows Live

The only number I have is a private cell phone number that is for family and close friends ONLY.
I will not add it to my outlook.com account, and never will.
Will Microsoft and the management of Outlook.com please remove the ridiculous phone request that is preventing me from using an email account I've used for more than 15 years.
If I must I will simply dump that email account and move to another email solution.
I stand firm on this, and I guarantee I am not alone in this opinion.
So please remove this phone requirement pronto.

When I try to login to my outlook alumni e-mail account it says that I am currently signed into an Office 365 e-mail account and that I must sign out of the Office 365 e-mail account then use another microsoft account to sign into outlook.com. I have
never had an office 365 account and don't have any way to get into my outlook account.
