My sister is travelling, she is currently in New Zealand. She has logged into her hotmail email in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and now New Zealand. However recently she got a message saying that Microsoft was suspicious about her recent logins and the account needed to be verified. I assume this was due to the fact she had changed her location frequently during this time.
She attempted to fill out the form but was told it was rejected. We spoke to a Microsoft Support chat representative who suggested I log into her email in the UK and pass on the details to her so that the form would pass. I took screen-shots of the relevant sections (folders/sent email etc). And so we are 100% sure that the information provided was correct. However, the form has still been rejected. I was advised to 'escalate' the request, and have sent off two forms to do that. However they were also rejected and it was suggested that my sister re-submit the form 'from the location she usually accesses her email' despite it being abundantly clear that she would not be able to do that as she was is on the other side of the world, in New Zealand.
My sister needs this email as it includes important flight details/travel itineraries/contacts and is her main way of contact with back home. For this reason, creating a new account isn't really an option. The only suggestion from Microsoft is to re-submit the escalation request, but that would seem pointless. The information we provided was 100% correct, so it would seem there is a problem on Microsoft's end, rather than ours.
Anyone got any idea how to resolve this/has had the same experience?
