Movie maker not working although every system requirement is fulfilled. I need a solution ungently

I want the high resolution as this is a virtual tour for a Real Estate company so the Skydrive option in Movie maker is too low resolution. I have converted the file to an Apple (mov.) file and it looks great but don't understand why I have to do this. Any other ideas?
I am not able to open any application of windows essentials i.e. live mail, movie maker, writer etc. in Windows 8.1 pro. After double click on live mail or movie maker nothing will happen, no error or error code will generate. i tried repair and uninstall
and re-install it but the problem is same. kindly help.

I have spent the past 3-4 hours editing a highlight/montage/action reel not quite sure the definite definition but i had quite a lot of content on that project and so i would save every 3 bits of editing as using movie maker with that much content it tends
to glitch out and throw tantrums. As i split a video i noticed one of the glitches occurring and i haven't recently saved so i quickly saved before the software became unresponsive. I thinking "phew what a close call" i closed down Movie Maker and open up
my project again..... to find nothing there...... the wmlp file has data on it about 99.8kb but when i select that file to open on Movie Maker nothing loads. Movie Maker says there is items there "1 of 143" what it usually says. I try hitting play and the
timer is going but it's just black.
Please please is there anything i can do. I really need that movie and i don't have the time to edit the movie again. It's not my computer specs as my hardware is gaming grade. Thanks so much for reading and i look forward to your replies.

Movie movie maker will flicker or glitch while in movie maker and when I save the movies. I know it's not the clips because when I watch the clips over again in movie maker it glitches at different points in the movie. Once I save the movie they are permanent

I had problems opening my dvds into movie maker, so in search for information, I found this Microsoft site with information on how to proceed.

In this discussion there was reference to converting my files using a program called Freemaker video converter, I did that and only one DVD converted properly and now I'm left with no software to do this. I did try to open DVD in windows media player
and hope that would work, but it does not read my disc. I have windows 8.1 operating system and since this is a new computer I'm hesitant to just start downloading programs/software for this OS without knowing they will work.

I have created a movie with credits in movie maker. When I play it in the preview, it looks fine, but when I save it, the credits cut off. Roughly the last page of text does not appear in the scroll, but the movie is still playing. So, instead of seeing
the last part of the credits scroll by, all you see is an empty black screen for about 6 seconds until the movie ends. I've tried saving the movie twice, and this happened both times. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on here or how I can fix this?
