I am attempting to import, via Movie Maker, a number of mini DV tapes that were created on my Sony DCR PC105E PAL about 10 years ago. I have successfully imported two tapes (around 60 mins worth on each tape). For some reason, (that I cannot work out), the Import process has now stopped working. After completing the Import dialog box with a file name and selecting the "import entire video" option, MM successfully rewinds the tape and then starts playing the tape (I know this because I can watch the film on the videocam screen) however, NOTHING IS IMPORTED. The viewing screen on the PC remains black and the imported frame count remains at zero. I've investigated this for a couple of days now and am at a dead-end.
If somebody can assist, I would extremely grateful.
