I had another account that was linked to this account for several years.
Microsoft removed the linked accounts and I have forgotten the password.
I have tried to verify my ownership to this account but the validation email linked to the forgotten account is my ex-girlfriends and we are no longer on speaking terms. I cannot find a way to change this email address.
I have also submitted several forms to validate my ownership, completing the forms with 100% correct information. I know this information is correct, however the automated process does not validate my ownership.
I have now submitted two support tickets via Microsoft Customer Support (@css.one.microsoft.com), but when I get a response and click on the link to view the incident, I get an error: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** cannot view this incident.
I have contacted Microsoft Support and they have told me that I cannot speak to anyone regarding this issue, and that I must resubmit the same form I have already submitted 4 times!
Please advise how I should resolve this issue.
I have an MSN email account which I access via a shortcut on my desktop (last access was January) and when click on it it signs me in, but then I have to update the software, which then puts a MSN Installer shortcut on my desktop. I click on it where it prompts me for my email address/password, but then tells me " The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again." So, I did, but no change.
I clicked on the MSN shortcut again, but signed in as a Guest which again sign me in but wanted to update the software. I went through the steps again and again it asked me for my email address/password - no change
I contacted Microsoft 1800 number and was given a case # 1213022406 and reference # 130804-002204-028
