I don't know why @ Microsoft it is so complicated to close a "FREE" account ?

It is been almost 10 days you can't fix my Skydrive account. Enough is enough. I just went back to Gmail. Google drive is working flawlessly.

I want to close two accounts and "ONCE" again I have an error message saying :

We can't show you that page


Our server is having a problem. We're working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again in a few minutes.


It reminds me why I decided to leave the PC world and go to Mac instead.

My two accounts are ready to be closed.

Send me a private message and I will give you the two Uniques IDs of the accounts I want to close.

As of 2 days ago, all spam and offensive emails are being sent directly to my INBOX - Microsoft filter is not automatically deleting them or directing them at least to my junk mail.  What is Microsoft going to do about this?
I received this message when trying to login to my outlook web email on Monday: “Your account has been closed. It looks like the Terms of Use may have been violated. To have our support team look into this, please click the support link below.”  I have no idea why this would have occured unless it is related to my account being hacked a couple weeks ago. I been trying for three days to get someone to help fix this.  I submitted a support ticket and got this message in return:

Hello,
We have received a recent request to reactivate your account, however, when we checked we noticed that your account was already active.  Due to the account not being blocked we are closing this case as resolved.  If you need help with Outlook.com or other Microsoft products please visit http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us .

But I still cannot access my email and get the same message when I try, and I cannot get anyone at Microsoft to respond to me.  Is there anyone at Microsoft who has any interest in helping me?  This has screwed up the past three days considerably.  Since I cannot access outlook email, if anyone will help me the email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I have two Hotmail/ Outlook accounts I am trying to close/ delete but Microsoft is making it so hard to do so and I don't understand why?

Why would Microsoft not won't people to be able to close/ delete accounts?

1) The first account is a Hotmail account and when I try to close/ delete it, it tells me to remove all subscriptions? I DON'T/ HAVE NEVER HAD ANY SUBSCRIPTIONS WTF?

2) The second is an Outlook email account (Microsoft using the 'Outlook' name for two separate products is very bad/ confusing) and when I try to close/ delete the account it states 'Our server is having a problem. We are working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again later' but it has said that for nearly TWO WEEKS.

Now I wouldn't be so p*ssed off if Microsoft had a proper email/ live chat/ phone customer service in which people could get actual one-to-one help.


Started just this morning; I've been able to sign into a different address on outlook and everything works fine. Browser is optimized. I am able to view calendars and contacts but when I go to Outlook, this message turns up. I have reported it several times since this morning and nothing has changed.

Dear friends in the community:

A hacked account with a hacker that is still hacking away and harming people.  Once entered, the hacker changed both alternate email and phone number.  It has now been 1 month and things have not changed. The account has emails that are very important for business work ( development work in Africa).  If moderators know a way that I can get back in and get these it would be a life saver.  I tried to use the verification process but the information that is completed never reaches Microsoft.  The response is that 2 step security has been turned on, and so information is not accepted.
Hoping for a response.

Hotmail account I have had for 10 years was hacked July 19th, 2013
Security details were all changed - alternate email, phone 
First effort to prove identity was approved July 22nd but then Microsoft said I must wait a month to have access?  Why, I don't know?
Tried entry again on August 21st, but no access.
Hacker has robbed contacts of more than $10,000 using my identity.

So far messages from community is that I have lost the account and all the related saved emails. Is this the case?

I know there are other threads about this....some even going back to 2012, pre-Outlook.... clearly nothing has been done by Microsoft, 

 

Indeed I am not seeing any responses from them either.

 

I think they just leave us here to let off steam together.

 

Outlook has been dreadful in terms of much weaker anti-spam precautions - lots of threads on here about blatant filth and phishing getting into our Junk folders.

 

But in the past two days, it just got worse.  Apparently Outlook is now incapable of even applying its own filters to put non-contacts and non-safe addresses directly in Junk - they are getting into my Inbox.    This is completely unacceptable.  I thought the big tech companies hired genius hackers to stay one step ahead of this rubbish?   Have all the Microsoft gurus left and gone to Google and Apple?

 

Microsoft, please wake up.  Read the thousands of complaints on here about your substandard Outlook freemail product (hopefully having nothing more in common than name with the industry-standard business product) and FIX IT!

When I try to log on to Microsoft and after I have filled in my email and password Microsoft puts up my name as someone completely different. Some months ago Microsoft , when I was logging in, sent me a message that there were 2 accounts with my log in details (which is bizarre as my gmail address includes my name) and that these 2 accounts were to be merged. After this Microsoft greeted me as  the other name. More worrying is that when I tried to log in this week (to set up 360 word) I was blocked because there had been problems with my account. I was invited to change my password which I did and was again greeted after login as the other name. I would like my Microsoft account frozen whilst you investigate what could be identity theft.

About a week ago we were unable to receive or send emails.

 

I spoke with Optusnet regarding this and they said everything is correct and I should I contact Microsoft. Well i contacted microsoft and they put me onto this website.

 

This is the error message that comes up
